What is Sheng Zhen Meditation?
This system of moving and non-moving meditation forms that stimulates and balances the qi ("life force") throughout the body by a combination of movement, deep relaxation and breathing. Good qi circulation clears the meridians and energizes the body's qi centres thereby making natural self-healing possible.
Sheng Zhen Meditation is Medical Meditation
According to the Taoists of ancient China and practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, 'qi' is the essential energy or life force which runs through all living things. According to this system of belief, illness in mind and body arises from stagnation or imbalances in the qi. Through the movements, breathing and deep relaxation of Sheng Zhen Meditation practice, good qi circulation is encouraged. This clears blockages in the meridians and energises the body's 'qi' centres. Natural self healing follows. In TCM, the heart is the commander of the qi. Sheng Zhen meditation forms focus particularly on the heart and thus this form of meditation has an especially powerful effect on the organs and energy systems of the body.

A relaxed mind and body helps flush out stress and reduces emotions in excess such as fear, anger, anxiety and sadness. Both the movements and the meditations of Sheng Zhen Meditation stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, calming body and mind and encouraging the restoration of emotional harmony and equilibrium.

Meeting Master Li Junfeng, Principal Teacher
Master Li Junfeng is the principal teacher of Sheng Zhen Meditation. Presently, he tours the US, Canada, South America, and Europe throughout the year. He is training and certifying others to become teachers to thereby help spread the practice throughout the world. He is also the head of International Sheng Zhen Society, the foundation which propagates the practice of Sheng Zhen Meditation. Master Li is best known for having been the head coach for the world renowned Beijing Wushu Team of the People's Republic of China. After practising and teaching wushu (martial arts) and training champions for many years, he gave all that up to devote his time to teaching Sheng Zhen Meditation to the world. It is his deepest desire to share the blessings he has received and all that he has attained in practising this loving form of meditation.
Master Li Junfeng travels to teach, to practice with his students, and to simply spend time with them. In so doing he shares his wisdom, his understanding, his love—his entire being, so that others too may experience the joy and contentment that permeates his life.
